I saw this last night also. I think it was either posted on Slashdot or digg. Misses a few distros but it wasn’t too bad and I will pro try to download Slackware as well.
Now I have 4 distros to try….LOL

It’s not a long article by any means, but it’s a good primer. It’s nice to see something about Linux distros that isn’t over zealous for one or the other :)
Slack has a really good reputation. It is usually hailed as the most stable distro on the planet. The downside to that is that new releases of Slackware are really, really far apart.
