Test Driving Linux

Apparently David Brickner agrees with me. He’s written a book entitled Test Driving Linux. The book is a whopping 384 pages long and apparently (althouth I won’t swear to this) comes with a Linux live CD (don’t know what distro).

gDesklets

I spent some of this weekend playing with gDesklets. I had a few problems with the installation because my Fedora Core 3 ships with pyorbit 2.0 and gDekslets requires pyorbit 2.0.1. I had no luck getting my package manager (yum) to upgrade my pyorbit, so I had to do it manually.
