They say that all publicity is good publicity, so we’d like to thank Joshua Gilbert for becoming our first official stalker/crackpot.

You may remember that a Slashdot reader recently wrote us an email essentially telling me to get the heck off the show and let Kelly Penguin Girl take the whole thing. I didn’t identify Joshua then because it was just a little harmless email.

Well I just received another email from Joshua today that definitely has an ‘off balance’ feel to it. Here’s a piece of it:

Look, if you’re going to be running a show for beginning Linux users, please try not to be an evil bastard that suggests that Linux is nothing more than a Windows replacement.

It’s the calling of names that makes this email over the edge. I feel it’s important to make this type of information public so that other (normal listeners) understand why we sometimes shy away from podcasting personal topics or personal information on the air.

Please join me in congratulating Joshua Gilbert in being the first Linux User Show listener to be put on my email blacklist!
