This Week’s Show.
I’ve been perusing the list of potential topics for the show, here, and have decided on this week’s show topic.
I’m going to combine a few of the smaller topics since they kind of go together. I’m going to start with wifi in GNU/Linux (which will mostly surround the use of ndiswrapper), but it’s pretty hard to set up your wifi without using the terminal window and the equivalents of DOS/Windows ipconfig, and GNU/Linux’s own ifconfig, iwconfig, ifup, dhclient….etc.
I’m going to do most of this on the command line because I don’t want to get distro-specific. All the GUI applications do is act as a front end for these tools anyhow, so as long as you can use them then you’ll be able to use your distro’s GUI to deal with your wifi card.
So, that’s kind of the three topics that I’m going to mash into one show. Now…what to get Kelly Penguin Girl to do…

You’ve got to get Aaron Seigo back on the show. He’s a very cool fellow Canadian and is working right in the heart of the KDE project.
Very interesting stuff. I’d like to hear how the aKademy conference went for him.

I’ve never had him yet before, but we’re in the same LUG (we both live in Calgary). I’m definitely going to be talking to him in the near future. I agree that he’s someone I want on the show.
