KDE 3.5 BETA is out on the KDE site. I used the Konstruct program to download and build the packages. After several hours I got bored of watching the screen scroll by and went to bed. When I got up in the morning, the install had crapped out.

I foolishly closed the terminal window before writing down the error, but I believe it was some kind of dependency error. X-list? X-term? Something X’ey I seem to recall. Stupid of me not to write that down.

Anyhow, has anyone else tried KDE 3.5? If so, what’s your results been?

Edit: recomplied the thing to get the error message again so I could investigate it, and guess what? It completed properly! Weird. Off to play with 3.5….
