When our mics were new and shiny everything was groovy, but now that they're getting old and crappy the sound quality is definitely dying. I do use a 'normalize' at the end of the recording to attempt to bring it back into normal ranges, but that only goes so far. We're doing our best to get new equipment but we'd rather hang on a little longer and get good gear rather than buy more cheap stuff right now. Yes - it’s tru, our gear is coming to the end of it’s life. When our mics were new and shiny everything was groovy, but now that they’re getting old and crappy the sound quality is definitely dying.

I do use a ‘normalize’ at the end of the recording to attempt to bring it back into normal ranges, but that only goes so far.

We’re doing our best to get new equipment but we’d rather hang on a little longer and get good gear rather than buy more cheap stuff right now.
