Holiday Show Shedule.

After much consideration, math, meetings, and PIM collisions Kelly and I have come up with the following very complicated show schedule for the holiday season. Ready? Here it is…

We’re done. See you in 2006.

Complicated, eh?

Seriously, I had hoped to get one more show out over the next few weeks which was going to be a chat with John Buckman of Magnatune but that didn’t pan out (not John’s fault - he’s been very accomodating).

I don’t know what the hell I was thinking but between having house guests, a new puppy, and the general chaos that the holidays bring, I don’t have a chance in hell of getting an hour alone, never mind finding a quiet hour in which to record.

It blows me away how nobody on the planet that I know in real life has a clue what podcasting is. You can tell them over and over that you need to record and they nod wisely and then go turn up the stereo. I tell ya, podcasting has a really, really, really long way to go before you can find 2 people on the street that have heard of it.

But I digress…

Rather then getting more and more frustrated, we’ve said screw it - this is podcasting, not a commercial venture. Why beat the hell out of ourselves for free? The show would suck anyhow if we did it because I’m so cranky, so it’s better just left alone.

Kelly and I wish all of you a good holiday season and we’ll be back bright and early in the new year.

Don’t pet the sweaty penguins!

Merry Christmas Jon and Kelly. Thanks for introducing me to the Linux world and all the support you’ve given me over the last 6 months. I’d still liked to know what a Blureo is.

Thanks, Jeff. We appreciate it :)

    Bloreo = Blue Oreo…shrug…that’s all I know.

Thanks for your honesty about podcasts and the real world.
Just for that I might actually listen to your show…I like people who are passionate about what they like, I abhor people who are like giddy school girls and feel that everything they like has to be hyped to death.

Youve got ways to go to be Lugradio calibre my buddy claims but just looking at your topics, I get a feeling Im gonna like it. (I listened to the Esperanzah music festival this summer online and they were using Freecast so thats what Im going to listen to first)

  13. Jon Says:

    Hey Zeke,

Podcasting is definitely a lot of work and some weeks it just ain’t worth it, that’s for sure. Thanks for appreciating the honesty.

I’m saddened to hear that I’m not Lug Radio calibre. I haven’t listened to Lug Radio in a while, but I’ve heard many comments from other people that they don’t think too highly of it. Perhaps that’s because we go for TOTALLY different audiences, but still…bummer for me…

I hope you enjoy the show when you get around to it!

    J
